About this deal

It is suitable for all types of paving material provided there is a gap of at least 3mm wide and 25mm deep (narrow joint compound). Porcelain is impermeable (it will not allow water to pass through it) so follow our instructions for use with porcelain tiles. Particularly sensitive, porous stone should always be sealed on both sides and all edges as a precaution. Apply a final gentle spray of water across the surface to wash off any EASYJoint residue and to aid the final compaction process.

When applying dry, EASYJoint compound must be compressed, by striking off with a pointing tool into the joints as it will not self-compact in the same way it does when applied with water. As the name implies, ll joint EASYJoint is a paving joint filler that is easy to use – simply soak the paving with water before commencing and then simultaneously sweep and wash the jointing compound into the joints, letting the water take the strain. Without a strong foundation the paving will move and the EASYJoint mortar will crack between the paving slabs. As well as the options provided below, you can choose to restrict or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Yes, you can clean our paving joints with a pressure washer but it must be done cautiously and after the EASY Joint sweep in sand has set hard.

The paving must be saturated before starting and remain soaked throughout the application process - in fact, the wetter the better. Whilst not essential, it is strongly recommended to "point" or "strike" the surface of the joints with a suitable finishing tool. Our instructions state that any sagging of a joint must be topped up whilst it is still wet (or has not cured). Full instructions on how to joint paving and a demonstration video showing how to joint a patio can be found below.

Available in different colours, EasyJoint holds up well against weathering and is incredibly long-lasting on joints that are 3mm wide and over. These types of slabs have a greater risk of staining, picture framing and efflorescence from the bedding mortar used for the base or specialist joint fillers.

Again, this will not affect the final integrity of the product in any way provided water can drain easily away and so allow even curing throughout the joints (as previously explained). The problem is that if you try to top up a joint it will not bond properly with the existing joint and over time the joint will fail. Freezing conditions are not always problematic for EASYJoint, however the volume of water used during the application process can potentially freeze. For expert information on how to use brush-in grout make sure to visit our dedicated Help and Advice section. Both have sand binder in them and work in similar ways however EASYSeal BCS is the superior product and lasts longer. It is important to note that linseed oil staining is only a temporary stain and exposure to sunlight, will over time, lift the marks. The person with the hose should alternate between following the sweeper to aid washing the compound into the joints and moving ahead of them so that the paving is always wet.

EASYJoint Stone Grey sweep in pato jointing compound will blend seamlessly with a vast range of paving productsl. Detailed instructions on how to joint paving with our sweep in sand can be found inside the EASYJoint tub. In terms of application, there is not so much need to use copious quantities of waterwith porcelain as the EASYJoint will not cause it to mark in the same way it can with stone or concrete.

EASY Joint is a natural product, because dirty water can drain through the joint, over time the appearance may change, this will not affect the integrity of the product.
