About this deal

MoonDrop states that the inner cavity is made of gold-plated brass, and integrates 5 pressure relief vents. I feel people with bigger ear canals will find them even more comfortable than I do, even though I find them very comfortable myself.

Despite its weight, my ears doesn't felt any discomfort, isolation is not the best but it is good enough even in moderately noisy environments. Defective items may be repaired, exchanged or refunded at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer's equivalent model. As a result of this physical presentation, the stage width takes a nosedive and live recordings are not as fun as I would like them to be. I consider this the normal average for most IEM’s out there, most headphones really, in general terms. The impact factor is yummy and musical, but the raw tone of the upper end is on the clinical side, prone to some gentle brightness.

The Starfields stage-depth is the star of the show, which is on point and par with the excellent FiiO FH1s and noticeably better than the Alpha and Delta IEM’s from last year. The paint definitely steals the show with these IEMs and are for many, as it was for me, a big draw to the IEM since it looks so different than many of the other models. They provide an excellent and balanced sound signature that is exceptionally smooth and easy to listen to. The nice thing about using a dynamic driver is that you don't get any of the dreaded "balanced armature timbre". The recessed midrange and the subdued lower treble turns it into a dark-sounding IEM although it does the treble better than the Moondrop Starfield if you listen closely (treble notes don’t decay abruptly).

It’s a strange sensation, almost as if the bass is muffled at certain frequencies (no, it’s not a sealing or eartip issue, I’ve confirmed with multiple tips). Very soft, flexible cable with four conductors that are braided below and twisted above the y-splitter. mm) thick diaphragm have a combination of high rigidity, high toughness and lightness, and provide clear, detailed and smooth treble. Treble is a bit subdued on the E3000 and can sound a bit splashy in certain tracks (in case of cymbals).

This likely has more to do with 4-7khz being slightly more relaxed, and so you notice the upper midrange forwardness a bit more. The Harman Target Curve is defined as “the ideal headphone target response – in other words, the headphone frequency response, as measured at the ‘eardrum’ of an artificial ear, that results in a perceived tonal balance preferred by listeners when replaying conventional stereo music recordings.Moving into the mids, there's nothing out of balance for the most part, nothing sounds muffled or muted. While I tested the Starfield with the impressive Hagerman Tuba amplifier, I kept in mind that these are IEMs and as such are meant for portability. cable so it's easy to find another cable you find it a problem, but in my experience i didn't find much of a problem with it. Different from KXXS's sharp, wide, accurate sound field and super clear analysis, Starfield pays more attention to loose, delicate, soft, stretched sound and excellent quality at the same time, achieving a delicate balance between balance and musicality. They're pretty small, the fit right inside of the ear with no parts hanging outside, what helps in the isolation of external sounds, the inner part is molded so it's anatomical and it helps the IEM to stay in place.
